"In The Year Of The Dog"
Order Info
The Arts Foundation of Michigan's Creative Artists Grant recognizes outstanding Michigan artists working in many different media all across the state. With funding from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the one year grant supports creation of new work, and assists in presentation of the work to the citizens of the state of Michigan.

Based upon a professionals' panel review of his past work, Neil Woodward was awarded the highest possible honors for 1993-1994. For the first time the review board recognized the modern troubadour's tradition as an artistic chronicle and commentary of significant individuals and events of our lifetime. Neil's project of composition, concert and recording was supported as "substantive work that demonstrably contributes to the evolution of the discipline." In The Year Of The Dog is that project.
