This collection is a charming and eclectic collection of story and song. The dark timbre of "Dead Man's Chair," is balanced by the obvious fun had by all when The Chenille Sisters sang with Neil on "I Ain't Mad At You." These songs are musical vignettes of a personal sort that ring true regardless of your take on life, love or food songs. Special guests are prominent on this album.

A favorite feature is "Singin Woody's Songs," with the cast of the play, "Woody Guthrie's American Song," singing with their fellow thespian and setting the tone for this warm Woody Guthrie musical tribute.
